FEBRUARY

VALENTINE'S DAY FEBRUARY 14th
GOD'S LOVE FOR US:
John 3:16: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 5:8: But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1 John 3:1: Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

LOVE ONE ANOTHER:
1 Peter 4:8: And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins."

1 John 4:7: Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8: Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.

WHAT JESUS SAYS ABOUT LOVE:
Mark 12:28-31: Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, "Which is the first commandment of all?" Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

John 13:34-35: "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

John 14:15: "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

CHURCH SHOOT OUT
If you enjoy the great outdoors and want to improve your marksmanship or even just to get a little exercise, join the Beacon Bible Church gang on Saturday, February the 2nd. Participants will be meeting in the Denny's parking lot on I -17 and Deer Valley Road before 7:00 AM. The group will be leaving Denny's at 7:00 AM and driving out to Table Mesa Road where they will join those who have been busy setting up targets and securing a safe place for the morning activities. Safety and fun intermix in this exciting outing that is popular with young and old alike. Join us and enjoy the beauty of the desert while learning something about gun safety and target shooting.

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Women's Bible study is a special time of rich fellowship as like-minded women gather together to delve into the Word of God and spend time in prayer. Studying the Scriptures provide encouragement and accountability necessary to deepen our faith. We get to know each other and grow together as we learn to live and love like Jesus. Join us at 6:00 PM on February 10th and 24th as we embrace another opportunity to count God's many blessings and develop a closer personal relationship with God and each other.

FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
Tired of surfing the channels while you are looking for something new and meaningful to watch on a Friday night? If so then join us on February 22nd at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall for a relaxing evening of fun. Cartoons will start the night off, as requested by prior participants. To enjoy the movie in comfort, bring your favorite camping chair or bean-bag chair to settle into. The usual table and chairs will be available for anyone who wishes to use them but they are not the most comfortable option! Since there is no concession stand available, we would highly recommend that you bring "Movie Snacks" that can be enjoyed and shared.

MEN'S PRAYER AND FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST
On the last Saturday of each month at 9:30 AM, the Beacon Bible Church hosts a gathering for the men in our congregation and community. At that time, Fellowship Hall is filled with the smell of a hearty breakfast which is made even more enjoyable by the conversations shared. During their time together, one of the men presents a short devotional study which is followed by discussion. What better way for men to share the struggles and joys in their daily lives while encouraging their Christian brothers with prayers and support. The hardships in life are many but these moments offer just what is needed to help ease pain and suffering. Mark your calendar for February 23rd and bring a friend!
