DAY TRIPS

On Saturday, February 7, 2016, a group from the church interested in making the trip to Wickenburg, Arizona, met at Pastor Jim Hoffman's home in Glendale, Arizona.

This adventure began shortly after 9:00 am when the small group gathered in a circle and Pastor Jim led us in prayer. Pastor Jim and April fired up their motorcycles and the rest climbed into our vehicles ready to hit the road for a fun and relaxing time. As we traveled the back roads, we were able to enjoy the magnificent desert scenery. The cactus, the mountains, hills, and the gorgeous sky with its intense blue colors made for a scenic drive that one would remember.

Once we arrived in Wickenburg, we attended a Leather and Silver Show. The silver and leather displays were beautiful to stroll through and prices were reasonable. It had everything one could desire to create your own leather items from belts to saddles!

When lunch time arrived, we headed to Screamer's for hamburgers and tater tots. After ordering our food, we decided to sit outside where we could enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery. The food was great, the tater tots were incredible, but the best part of lunch was the fellowship. Our adventure gave us the opportunity to get to know more about each other, and during our conversation, we learned how God led Pastor Jim and April to Beacon Bible Church. Saying goodbye and going our separate ways, we were relaxed and at peace.
